Force Method

Sends a Force (Prior) transaction to the PaymenTech server.

Syntax

public void Force(string voiceAuthCode, string voucherNum);
Public Sub Force(ByVal VoiceAuthCode As String, ByVal VoucherNum As String)

Remarks

Force (Prior) transactions are typically used when a customer's EBT card was declined or referred, and the merchant has called the call center to receive an authorization code and voucher number. A Force transaction adds the transaction to the current open batch, and the transaction will be settled at the next call to the PTechHostSettle component's BatchRelease method.

The EBT card is specified by the Card property. Both swiped and manual-entry are supported.

The Code and Text fields indicate whether this transaction was successful.

Manually keyed force:

component.Card = new CCCard("4444333322221111", 1, 2010)
component.TransactionAmount = "1.00"
component.Force("123456", "543210987654321") 'values received from the call center

.NET Standard Notes

To call this method in an asynchronous manner call ForceAsync instead. When the method completes (or an error is encountered) the ForceCompleted event will fire.
